King Creative Media shakes up gaming with audio client JBL

Announcement posted by King Creative Media 22 Sep 2020

Melbourne, September 22nd 2020 - JBL Australia/New Zealand, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HARMAN International & Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has appointed King Creative Media to manage its public relations, influencer engagement, events, partnerships and social media for their Quantum gaming products in Australia and New Zealand.

At CES 2020, JBL unveiled its first-ever headset range and PC speakers designed exclusively for gamers. An authority in the world of audio, JBL has been delivering leading innovation and superior sound for over 60 years.

In May 2020, King Creative successfully launched the JBL Quantum Range in New Zealand using an integrated go-to-market strategy in conjunction with the team at HARMAN.

“We were excited to test the waters in New Zealand with JBL Quantum.” said Amber King, Co-founder and Director of King Creative Media. “By creating a targeted approach incorporating influencers, social media, PR and online retail training we were able to reach a wider audience. Our messaging catered to all gamers from the novice through to the pro player.”

After an impressive first few months of sales in New Zealand the team at HARMAN are looking forward to an even bigger Christmas sales period.

“King Creative recently played a pivotal role in the hugely successful launch of our new JBL Quantum Gaming range.” said Michael Sherman, HARMAN Brand Activation Manager, NZ. “King Creative’s energy and ingenuity have helped bring our products to market in novel and engaging ways throughout the lockdown. The response from stakeholders and consumers has been outstanding and the collaboration between the two companies has been rewarded.”

With the New Zealand sales gaining momentum HARMAN launched JBL Quantum in Australia earlier this month. They anticipate another strong placing within the gaming category prior to Christmas.

“In a market that is completely saturated with gaming headset products, we approached the launch of JBL QUANTUM by focussing on what gamers needed most, what was authentic to them, what was genuine and what added real value to their gaming play styles. Overnight we built a solid community that enjoys great sound while gaming” said Kebrasca King, Managing Director of King Creative Media.

The forecast looks promising with some of the range already selling out in stores in key centres around Australia.

“We are so thrilled to be working with King Creative, as we launch into an entirely new category for JBL. We are launching into uncharted territory that is highly competitive and we were in need of support from the best in class to help us achieve success.” said Ashleigh Kingston, Channel Marketing Lead of the Harman Lifestyle Division. “The JBL Quantum Range is an exciting and much anticipated expansion from the existing JBL product line up. Our goal is to deliver the same Legendary JBL Audio experience we are known for to gamers across Australia and New Zealand. King Creative have the head and heart to make this launch seamless and successful for JBL.”

King Creative specialise in the marketing and PR of audio, tech and gaming brands and have worked with clients such as Lenovo, Intel, ASUS ROG and Beats by Dre. By adding JBL Quantum to their portfolio, King Creative is able to bring more value to the market and a better gaming experience to PC, console and mobile gamers throughout Australasia.
