Groundbreaking female real estate entrepreneur named Business Person of the Year

Sydney-based entrepreneur Marites Idea Novis has been named the Business Person of the Year and her business, Qfirst Property Investment Group as the Outstanding Real Estate Agency in this year’s Local Business Awards.

The Local Business Awards acknowledge outstanding local businesses and their people who go above and beyond.

Finalists are selected based on the number of nominations they receive from the public, and are judged based on a two stage process of an anonymous visit by a judge, and information provided by the business including business history, marketing, staff training, business and environmental sustainability, successes during the past 12 months, support to the community and business plans for the future.

Anonymous judges visit the business premises of each finalist and evaluate them based on their ability to deliver on the fundamental principles of quality customer service.

The principles of quality customer service include, but are not limited to, customer service, range and/or presentation of products/services, value for money and the overall business presentation, including the online presence of the company and the online experience provided to the customer.

Established in 2017, Qfirst Property Investment Group has gone from strength-to-strength after director and founder, Marites Novis identified a gap in the market.

At the age of 29, having founded the family-owned Philippines-based company, Quezon First Engineering in July 2000, Ms Novis built a solid reputation for her expert management.

She knew she had a lot more to offer the property industry, so along with her engineer husband, Gerard and three children, decided to relocate from the Philippines to Sydney in 2007, pouring her passion and skills in to Qfirst Property Investment Group, which she established in October, 2017. 

The passion-driven business woman now hosts seminars specifically aimed at helping first-home buyers and investors to better understand the ins and outs of the property market. 

“I would describe Qfirst Property Investment Group as the new frontier of the real estate industry,” said Ms Novis.
