Coates Hire named long-term partner for Sydney Water

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, OCTOBER 12, 2020 – Coates Hire, Australia’s leading hiring solutions company, was awarded a three-year Shared Purchasing dry hire contract (with two one-year extension options) in January 2020 with Sydney Water, Australia’s largest water utility.
The Shared Purchasing (SP) contract is the first signed through Sydney Water’s new Partnering for Success (P4S) Procurement strategy and ensures Coates Hire will supply pumps and fluid management, traffic management and power generation solutions to Sydney Water. The utility will also have access to Coates Hire’s full range of quality plant and general hire equipment as part of the agreement.
Delivery has commenced for the supply of plant equipment and general hire to Sydney Water’s Networks Services and its three Regional Delivery Consortia (RDC).
“The contract represents a significant milestone as the first SP contract, as well as the beginning of a long-term relationship between Sydney Water and Coates Hire,” said Xavier Decomps, Sydney Water’s Head of Procurement. “This shared purchasing approach will develop deeper relationships between Sydney Water and its RDC partners, and facilitate a consistent, transparent and controlled way of sharing information about goods and services.”
