CBA, Telstra Joint Supporters of Women in AI Awards 2021

SYDNEY, OCT 21st: Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Telstra have joined forces to support the 2021 Women in AI awards.

Chris Connor, Executive Manager Emerging Technology, Commonwealth Bank and Georgia Israel, Commonwealth Bank Account Executive, Telstra Enterprise issued a joint statement:

“As strategic partners, CBA and Telstra partner with passion and purpose to drive an innovative culture across both organisations by sponsoring initiatives that positively impact our employees, customers and the broader community. As part of this partnership, CBA and Telstra sponsor the Women in AI Awards to promote and recognise the need for diversity and inclusion in AI, and to encourage more women into the sector.”

The awards will be held in Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art on 23 February 2021, at a spectacular invite-only Gala Dinner to announce the winners & finalists, and to honour and recognise Australian and New Zealand women in AI.

The Gala Dinner will be hosted by multi-award-winning STEM journalist and Science and Technology Editor for NITV, Rae Johnston.

Invitees will include leaders and influencers from industry, academia and government, prominent and influential AI thought-leaders, AI enthusiasts, venture capitalists and AI start-ups.

Supporters include Telstra, CBA, Salesforce, Monash Data Futures Institute, Microsoft,  and the Australian Institute of Machine Learning at the University of Adelaide.
