An 100% Australian owned online sportsbook company, TexBet has recently launched from Tamworth, NSW! Tamworth locals and long-serving bookmakers, Terry (Tex) O’Shea and son Wade have over 60 years of on-track bookmaking experience and now, as recognised and respected bookmakers, want to bring their knowledge and love for the industry online.
Tex O’Shea has said “I have been out on the track across country NSW since 1973, I have loved every moment of my career and I am not ready to hang up my bag. With the end of regional and country races during the Covid-19 pandemic, my son Wade and I decided it was time to adapt and fight to keep local businesses and industries like this alive!”
Wade added to this noting that, “we want to make a change, with the popularity of online wagering and the impact of COVID-19 on racing, we saw an opportunity to create an online bookmaking company that also has the aspects of local on-track racing that we love; the banter, the service, the relationships, the atmosphere and importantly the old fashion fun.”
“All we want is for people to enjoy their experience on an online sports booking website in a responsible way,” Wade said.
