CORNERSTONE ONDEMAND OFFERS FREE COURSES TO AID ECONOMIC RECOVERY

-    Cornerstone OnDemand offers 52 free practical short courses to help Australian businesses and individuals gain critical business skills to assist with economic recovery, or find jobs-

As Victoria begins an easing of restrictions, ABS figures have revealed Australias unemployment rate has risen to 6.9 per cent for September 2020[1]

To expedite the opening of the global economy, leading human capital management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand has announced free access to some of its top training programs. It hopes free access will help people find skills that will get them back into employment as soon as possible, and assist companies grappling with changes in their regular work environment.

The pandemic has illuminated a need for skills that will keep workforces adaptive and resilient in changing work environments, says Cornerstone OnDemand’s ANZ Managing Director, Sue Turk.

As Australia emerges from this crisis, we must provide people with the skills to get themselves back on their feet, as well as giving companies access to workplace resources, which will enable their businesses to remain competitive, “ she continues.

As the world contemplates economic recovery, it is critical businesses, employees and unemployed people are equipped to deal with the everchanging working environment to ensure they can thrive.

Says Sue Turk: To that end, Cornerstone OnDemand has identified the 13 skills we believe are critical to success and we are offering 36 free bite-sized courses to individuals and businesses for a limited time”.

As the global leader in workplace learning, we looked at anonymous data from 40 million learners on the Cornerstone OnDemand platform and identified the skills that organisations invested the most time training on in 2019 and during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. We settled on a list of 13 that we believe are vital for companies, employees and employability.” she continues.

Cornerstone OnDemand is offering four short courses in each of the 13 key areas: Remote Work; Communication; Stress Management; Leadership; Personal Growth; Active Listening; Coaching; Time Management; Unconscious Bias; Conflict Management; Project Management; Emotional Intelligence; and Customer Service.

Cornerstone OnDemand offers learning and development solutions to companies grappling with an inability to deliver face-to-face training. It provides more than 30,000 cloud-based courses on its extensive Learning Management System (LMS), which can be delivered online in a ubiquitous, personalised, yet COVID-safe way.

We hope by offering 52 short courses for free, individuals can pick up some useful skills to re-enter the workforce. And companies can develop skill-based strategies to move through economic recovery, or be inspired to explore some of the key skills and training in greater depth,” concludes Sue Turk.
