Work Christmas parties need not be COVID cancelled as Babl launches a virtual Christmas party managed service

Announcement posted by Babl 10 Nov 2020

Babl Pty Ltd, a highly secure cloud-based audio, video and web conferencing business, today announced that it has launched a virtual Christmas party managed service for organisations in Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific region. Based on its new Babl Networking+ virtual business events platform the offering will ensure that COVID has not cancelled the office Christmas party in 2020.

As well as providing its white labelled virtual events platform that features an event floor with a stage that can feature entertainment as well as up to nine concurrent speakers, Babl will be offering end to end management of every event to ensure they run smoothly. Companies can fully customise the virtual events space, including videos, images and logos and will even be able to decorate and style the space as they wish.

There can be ten separate tables for six guests each, so colleagues can finally socialise with each other and move to different tables, whilst consuming the food and drinks of their choice supplied by their employer on the day. Babl Networking+ can include up to ten floors, so the events have a capacity of 500 guests, but it also suits more intimate occasions as well.

“Employers can get creative and think of alternative ways to celebrate the end of a tough year, such as booking a band or a comedian to perform on stage or organising a games night or a quiz. Magicians, cartoonists or even fortune tellers can be engaged to perform at specific tables and there can even be a virtual dance floor with a DJ so people can get up and bust some moves. We will manage the entire event for them from the staging to the content and the technology set up,” said Tobias Raper, Asia Pacific CEO at Babl.

Many organisations have been working from home now for over half a year and will be missing social interactions with colleagues and friends. Whilst ‘normal’ festive celebrations will not be happening, a virtual Christmas party is still a great opportunity to engage and reward teams for their hard work.

“Just sending them a bottle of wine and getting on a video call really isn’t going to cut it. With a little creativity, Babl Networking+ will engage people in organisations in something fun and festive at a time when they need it most,” concluded Tobias Raper.

Babl has partnered with a technology provider to offer this events platform and the cost for Babl to run and manage a virtual Christmas party ranges from $3500 to $5000 depending on the size, scope and run time of the party not including the cost of the entertainment. Babl has already organised similar events for Australian organisations that have been very well received.
