Industry experts share tips to navigate 2021 economic headwinds

Sydney, AUSTRALIA – December 7, 2020 – Infor today announced the IDC Insights for Business Resilience webinar will take place on December 10 aimed at providing businesses with guidance on how to swiftly adapt to changing conditions in today’s world.

Supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and organised by Infor, the event will feature keynote speaker Linus Lai, IDC Asia-Pacific Software & Services Research Group vice-president, who will share:

  • The different stages of business resilience for ANZ businesses
  • New 2021 Predictions research data on cloud
  • How enterprises can build or maintain resilience in the new year and beyond

Linus will be joined by Matt Taylor, AWS Head of Partner Solutions Architecture, ANZ to take a deep dive into digital innovation use cases and what it means for businesses.

Participants will:

  • Hear fresh research data specific to ANZ companies and key IDC 2021 Predictions around cloud
  • Learn from what companies have done in terms of building digital use cases for cloud applications in difficult times
  • Learn the 5 stages to the Future Enterprise and the playbook for customers, employees and the business ecosystem
  • Have the opportunity to have access to an IDC Pulse DX Survey – valued at US$10,000 – which will provide a detailed report based on IDC benchmark data showing where an organisation is on their digital transformation journey and where their challenges lie

IDC’s annual Technology Predictions for 2021 revealed that Asia Pacific is expected to leapfrog other regions - with accelerated DX investments.  IDC predicts that the digital economy will accelerate with over 65 percent of APAC GDP expected to be digitalized, and spending to hit US$ 1.2 trillion between 2020 and 2023.

“ANZ businesses are at different stages of building resilience from a bruising 2020. Our guidance will give them the right tools to assess where they’re at and help them not just weather but thrive during these challenging times and into the new year,” Lai said. “In addition, attendees will learn how to prioritise their technology investments as they move from crisis mode to recovery and growth, coupled with how COVID-19 has shaped IT spending decisions.”

According to Lai, participants can expect to walk away with lifelong lessons from the 45-minute session.

“The pandemic has been a painful reminder that businesses have to expect the unexpected. When the next disruptor hits, whether it be bushfires, financial or another health crisis, businesses need to be resilient. Our webinar will provide crucial tips on how to adapt and thrive in fast-changing and unpredictable market circumstances,” Infor ANZ managing director Jarrod Kinchington said.
