Announcement posted by EMM Consulting Pty Limited 09 Dec 2020

EMM Consulting Chairman Gary Flowers recently announced the appointment of two new members to the company’s board of directors, effective immediately.

Joining the board are Nicole Armit and Paul Gibbons, in an exciting evolution of the company’s governance, management and strategic direction.

Both Nicole and Paul bring with them a wealth of experience and a diversity in thought.  Their combined skills and experience including industry reputation, technical/professional skills and behavioural attributes were acknowledged and endorsed by all board members.  These appointments also reflect the growth and expanded geographic footprint of the company.

A respected leader with expertise spanning two decades, Nicole has held various technical and geographic leadership roles across the Asia Pacific region.  Since her appointment at EMM in 2015, Nicole has played a key role in the development and delivery of the company strategic direction as a member of the senior executive team.  With a background across both industry and professional services, Nicole has been integral in cementing the company’s footprint in the Hunter and across regional NSW.

Commenting on her new role, Nicole said:

“I’m really excited to be a part of the next evolution of our board, and to have the opportunity to further contribute to the strategic direction of EMM. It’s an exciting time for our business, as we continue to grow in the services we offer and the  geographies in which we operate, and I am looking forward to playing a further part in that”.

Similarly, Paul has experience across various sectors including roles with Planning SA, BHP Billiton and Iluka Resources.  His professional services background commenced in 1998 and has included roles in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia since 2002. Paul was the founding member of EMM’s Adelaide office in 2017 and has been central to building the EMM brand in South Australia.

Paul highlighted:

“I am looking forward to contributing towards the continued success of EMM and the Board, and am grateful for the opportunity to work for a truly unique culture and value driven company”

The composition of the board has been an important focus in recent years and formed part of the company’s 2019- 2021 strategy.  This announcement follows the appointment of Non-Executive Director Mark Elliott in February 2020.
