Share-economy pet-sitting platform Pawshake releases industry-first report card in time for busy holiday season

Announcement posted by Pawshake Australia 16 Dec 2020

Known as AirBnB for pet sitting, Pawshake has created an industry-first pet sitter report card to track and share information between owners and pets.

Pawshake has created the pet sitter report cards to enhance trust and safety on their pet-sitting platform, which boasts thousands of verified sitters Australia-wide.

The pet sitter report cards allow pet owners to send information to pet sitters after a sitting assignment, including tracking the route taken during a dog walk and more.

The feature is not dissimilar to fitness apps in being able to track walking routes and is designed to be fun as well as an important safety feature

‘Innovation in new features has always been very important to Pawshake’ says company founder and CEO, Tanguy Peers.

‘We want to be able to use technology to enhance safety and community between pet sitters and pet owners. The new sitter report cards will encourage transparency and communication between parties, as well as making the pet sitting process smoother and more enjoyable.’

In preparation for the approaching summer, Pawshake has invested in several new advanced features, including integrated police checks for pet sitters. This is in response to overwhelming demand as a result of post-lockdown travel and state border openings.
