Rapidly growing SEQ based, Edge Early Learning, has officially opened the doors to its newest childcare centre located in the Brisbane city suburb of Cannon Hill.

A purpose-built facility which will provide state-of-the-art learning resources, large spacious outdoor play areas, and a dedicated shared art space which will allow for creative development and self-expression; extending on the Queensland Government Kindergarten Program that Edge Early Learning deliver.

The new custom-designed Cannon Hill centre features 8 classrooms split across 2 levels, filled with learning resources tailored to age groups from 6-weeks to school age and can accommodate capacity for up to 115 children.

Conveniently located on Andrews Street near the local train station and Murarrie business district, the new centre will cater to working parents and families within the local community offering longer hours of care from 6.30am to 6.30pm.

Edge Early Learning Chief Executive Officer, Annie Bryce, said she looks forward to introducing the provision of high-quality childcare to the local area.

“There is increasing reliance on quality childcare services, especially considering the current climate. Many parents, now more than ever, need to rely on reputable, health-responsive and compliant centres that deliver a high level of care,” she said.

“Opening more early learning centres is critical to helping with the shortage of places around high density suburbs like Cannon Hill and we are extremely proud of our beautiful well-resourced centre and look forward to welcoming local families to join us.”

As a full-service childcare provider, Edge Early Learning Cannon Hill is also leading the way with their sustainability practices, providing children with eco-friendly nappies and wipes which are biodegradable and made from 100% pure bamboo.

“At Edge Early Learning, we strive to be Australia’s best in early childhood education and through our top-notch centres and resources. Our philosophy is to provide a supportive and gentle environment in which to learn, give children a strong sense of belonging and community and promote health and well-being,” Annie said.

While Edge Early Learning Cannon Hill’s Centre Director, Katrina Stone, expressed her enthusiasm about the centre becoming the heart of a growing community.

“I am so honoured to have the opportunity to have opened this brand new, state-of-the-art childcare centre in the heart of Cannon Hill,” she said.

“I love the fact that we have created a beautiful environment that allows children to feel safe and secure and have the opportunity to learn and develop through play. Being able to connect with different families and being there to be able to support their little ones in the first 5 years of life is truly special.”

“We are so excited to get to know our Cannon Hill community and welcome new families to be a part of our Edge family,” she added.

Edge Early Learning Cannon Hill is located on 18 Andrews Street, Cannon Hill, QLD 4170.
