Enjoy the sun going down and the stars coming out from the iconic North Sydney Oval as Sunset Cinema brings you the ultimate Australian summer experience.

 

This season will be a real showstopper with a bunch of fresh new releases, timeless classics and family favourites. So, whether you’re treating the kids, catching up with the girls or taking someone on a date to remember, there’s something to delight everyone this summer.

 

Embrace your inner superhero with the long-awaited blockbuster Wonder Woman 1984. Prepare to be totally enthralled by Eric Bana’s performance in the gripping Australian thriller The Dry and let your spirits be lifted by the inspirational story of Penguin Bloom.

 

Have your light sabres at the ready to re-live the original Star Wars saga across two weekends with A New Hope, the remastered 40th anniversary edition of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

 

Sunset Cinema is perfect for getting back outdoors and in this time of social distancing the event is tailored for your safety, whilst maintaining the signature Sunset vibe you know and love.

 

This season Sunset will also be hosting a mini anime festival, with classics including studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle, award winning Spirited Away & Akira – with more to be announced.

 

Looking for a memorable Valentine’s experience? Whether you’re a true romantic or prefer something a little different there’s plenty to choose from, whilst soaking up the atmosphere, under the starlight with your favourite person.

Treat yourself and snuggle up on a ridiculously comfy bean lounge (with free popcorn!) in the Lawn Lounge or pick up a sunset chair and spread out your blankets with a picnic.

To ensure a safe event, we have implemented a range of measures, including touch free entry, Service NSW check in, larger seating areas, minimised capacity and onsite hygiene marshals to direct patrons to physically distanced seating. The venue and amenities will be cleaned and sanitised before, during and after each screening including all seating.

Come and satisfy your taste buds at the yummy hot food vendor. To streamline your experience and minimise queuing you can now order from the online menu and get a notification when your food is ready to collect, easy!

Enjoy the warm evening air with a refreshing pink gin and tonic from local legend Manly Spirits or a frothy cold one from a selection of delicious Bent Spoke Beers at the licensed bar.

Stock up on all your essential movie snacks like Serendipity choc tops and fresh, hot popcorn.

The gates open at 6.30pm Wednesday to Saturday, so come and enjoy the alfresco atmosphere before settling in for your movie experience.
