Celebrate International Women’s Day with an empowerment floral arrangement

With International Women’s Day taking place on the 8th of March, SLAK (Spreading Loving Acts of Kindness) Flowers is now taking orders on a limited number of new boutique floral arrangements to help celebrate the day.

‘I Am Invincible’ is a handcrafted floral arrangement drawing inspiration from Helen Reddy’s 1971 classic song ‘I Am Woman’ with each arrangement designed and crafted over several hours utilising the freshest of seasonal flowers. 

“The result is an impressive piece of floral artwork ideal for workplaces, events or for gift giving to signify the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the globe,” said Simla Sooboodoo, SLAK Flower’s Founder and Managing Director. 

Prices for ‘I Am Invincible’ are $200.00 + GST each with discounts available when two or more arrangements are ordered.

SLAK Flower’s is Sydney’s newest social enterprise to be based in the cultural hub of Redfern and employs women from organisations including The Salvation Army and Dignity who are currently experiencing homelessness. 

“Each employee is provided with training from SLAK’s Head Florist, earns an income and develops self-respect and self-worth becoming empowered to live better lives,” Sooboodoo added.
