Best strata business awarded to Vantage Strata

The ACT Strata Community Association, the region’s peak body for strata and community title management in a competitive and growing sector, awarded Vantage Strata “best strata business” in Canberra for the second year running.

Vantage Strata’s Managing Director Chris Miller said this is the third time in the company's short five year history that they’ve won the Australian Capital Territory title.

Over the past 12 months Vantage Strata welcomed an 32 new buildings to their management approach resulting in an increase of 2,700 new units to their portfolio.

“It’s a great boost for our team to be recognised for our approach to strata management across one of the most important strata regions in Australia, the ACT. We’re doing things differently at Vantage Strata," Mr Miller said.

"Strata buildings are more than just bricks and mortar. These properties are living, breathing communities, and their management requires more than a reactive approach."

A few months ago, Vantage Strata won the coveted NSW “best strata business” title as well as the Australasian title.

“The standard industry model is broken and leads to inferior outcomes for owners’ corporations. We believe our market-leading approach leads to enhanced service, better outcomes for owners, and an improved strata industry,” Mr Miller said.

“More apartments are being built in Canberra than ever before, with a distinct move away from the two townhouses or twelve units in a block of three or four storeys of yesteryear towards seriously high density precincts inside significant complexes.”

“One in ten people in the ACT now lives in an apartment or townhouses. That’s nearly 40,000 of us. I’m one of them.”

In recent months, Vantage Strata created a division for new business comprising an onboarding manager (for new buildings) and an established onboarding manager (for existing buildings) to ensure everything runs smoothly and successfully from the very outset of a new relationship, particularly for the plethora of new apartment blocks in the ACT.

“Our onboarding managers are responsible for our detailed and thorough onboarding process, which has over 170 steps. We use a project management tool called Smartsheet to map the process in meticulous detail to ensure every small item is covered,“ Mr Miller said.

Vantage Strata will again be in the running for Australasian Strata Business of the Year.
