Taxiride frontman Jason Singh has already found 2021 to be his most in-demand year in over a decade, adding 17 more shows to his current 10-date east coast tour - including the special guest slot in Victoria for Aussie rock icons 1927 - extending into May, June and July, culminating in a final show at Melbourne’s Memo Music Hall.
Audience responses during his March/April dates have been overwhelmingly positive, with Jason - arguably one of Australia’s best male vocalists - in acoustic mode as he performs the hits of Taxiride, along with his solo material and a selection of favourite classics.
Bringing two sets of solid 90s nostalgia Jason Singh plays Taxiride (Hits, Bits & Beyond) features the dynamic frontman giving fans a double dose of his powerhouse vocals and those memorable melodies that put Taxiride - and Jason - at the top of their game.
Jason’s soaring vocals are currently being heard on rotation around Australia, with Taxiride’s anthem Get Set featured on Visit Victoria’s television ad campaign to promote the band’s home state.
The additional tour dates include remote locations in Victoria and New South Wales throughout May, as part of the Beef It Up initiative, for which Jason is ambassador. The Australian Horizons Foundation project sees a group of entertainers performing in four communities in Barham, Blighty, Moulamein and Menindee to provide a much needed night out in these towns where residents are enduring hard times because of the water issue relating to the Murray Darling basin.
Bidding wars, exotic overseas studios and years of international touring established Taxiride as one of Australia's biggest musical exports, with Jason Singh and his impressive set of pipes and sky scraping pop sensibility at the helm.
Garnering two consecutive Number One platinum selling albums, nine Top 40 hit singles including the Top 5 hits “Get Set”, “Everywhere You Go”, and the most played song on Australian radio in 2002, “Creepin’ Up Slowly”, Taxiride were at the top of the Australian music industry.
Twenty years later, including a hiatus, a reunion and an established solo career, it's time to join Jason Singh as he continues the ‘ride’ in a series of shows taking you on a journey beyond the hits.

The HITS BITS & BEYOND show sees Jason perform all the iconic hits along with material from deep within the Taxiride catalogue - including "Skin", "Saffron" and "World’s Away".
With a studio album, a covers album and a string of singles including two dance club hits, Jason will also feature a variety of his solo material, which has seen him tour extensively with a long list of accomplished artists including Mariah Carey, Rick Astley, HANSON and John Farnham.
