Canva Supporting Australian IT Journalism Awards

Announcement posted by Influencing 21 Jun 2021

MediaConnect & the Samsung Australian IT Journalism Awards are pleased to announce our newest supporters, Canva.

As well as joining name sponsors Samsung and event partners AWS, Atlassian, Watterson & Enex Testlab; Canva is also contributing its support across design & print elements for the night.

"Journalism plays an essential role in shining a spotlight on the growing technology ecosystem here in Australia. As a tech startup founded in Australia, we're very proud to support the Australian IT Journalism Awards and look forward to showcasing the diversity of our platform through our sponsorship of the event's design and branding," said Jonathan Harley, Head of Media Business Development.

Held in the Crystal Ballroom at Luna Park on July 16th, the Awards celebrate the best in Australian IT journalism across 2020.

"I think it's representative of the maturity of the Australian technology sector that the majority of our Awards sponsors this year are Australian-owned businesses. With Canva and Atlassian joining long-time sponsors Watterson Marketing Communications as well as Enex Testlab, we have four Aussie sponsors sitting alongside global titans, Samsung and AWS," said Influencing CEO Phil Sim.

"Once upon a time, the Australian tech sector was mostly an outpost for international IT sales operations, but companies like Canva and Atlassian have demonstrated our sector has become so much more."

Tickets to the event are selling fast, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

We look forward to seeing you on the night.
