NSW Ports Supports Port Botany Students to Build STEM Skills with Livestream Learning

Announcement posted by NTC 24 Aug 2021

Livestream Learning Program with The Marine Team

NSW Ports has partnered with The National Theatre for Children (NTC) to present a comprehensive, curriculum aligned program for grades 1-6 to help build Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) skills for students in over 20 schools close to its Port Botany operations.

The program will explore in a fun and entertaining way how goods and trade move through the Australian supply chain and the technology that makes it possible. Delivered for remote student learning via livestream between 30 August and 3 September, the event is supported by Q&A, post-event activities, games and supplementary lessons.

About The Marine Team Program

The Marine Team livestream events feature a live host who introduces the program, sets up and recaps a series of exciting theatrical episodes featuring characters such as The Container, E-Mission and Ramena Udon. The actor/educator host leads a Q&A in which students and teachers can submit questions for the host to answer in real time. The livestream events are supplemented by a full digital curriculum including games, activities, hands-on lessons, and assessments for educators.
