There’s no denying it – Oktoberfest at Elmar’s in the Valley has become an annual event on the Swan Valley calendar. And this year’s event is promising to be the best-ever!

From music to the ultimate German bier, games to delicious traditional German delicacies, a weekend of fun and festivities await all who take part.

Oktoberfest 2021: The venue

Elmar’s in the Valley boasts an idyllic location in the Swan Valley. This traditional German restaurant offers a relaxed vibe and an enormous, park-like 2-acre biergarten. There’s plenty of room for everyone, with a shaded playground for the kids and a choice of inside or outside dining for all.

Oktoberfest 2021: When is it?

The weekend of 23rd & 24th October 2021 sees the best German festival in the area get ready to rock, with an adult-only event on the Saturday and fun for all the family throughout Sunday.

Saturday’s 18+ event kicks off at 11am through to 6pm. Sunday’s runs from 10am to 4pm with every member of the family welcome.

Oktoberfest 2021: What’s on?

Oktoberfest at Elmar’s has been wowing guests since the inaugural event in 2006 – and for good reason. It’s quite simply the biggest and best authentic German Oktoberfest event around.

18+ event: Saturday 23 October

Oktoberfest is all about the food, the music, the bier and the fun, all with a unique German-inspired vibe.

When it comes to food, get ready to chow down on traditional German bratwurst, hot chips, pretzels, cheese, fruit, crackers, chocolate dipped strawberries… And that’s just to whet your appetite! Our traditional German BBQ will have you coming back for more (and more) throughout the day. Taste our signature Pork Shank and fall in love with our delicious Cheese Kransky. If that’s not enough there’ll be loaded potato skins, ice cream and more. Of course, they’ll also be a selection of vegetarian options as well.

No self-respecting event can call itself a festival without some awesome live music. At Oktoberfest, this has to be an um-pa-pa band, and no-one does this better than The Polka Dots. This buskin-style quartet will have you singing, dancing and generally making merry as they blast out their incredible blend of music that’s guaranteed to have you hollering for more.

As if that wasn’t enough, Moves Like Swagger will satisfy all your party music needs with their amazing covers of RnB dance hits from the 80s and 90s right through to today.

The bier, naturally, is the stuff of dreams. With a microbrewery on-site, Elmar’s brew their specialty Oktoberfest tipple – Märzen – or you can satisfy your thirst with Kölsch & Pilsner on tap. There’s also a cocktail bar, something that’s brand new for 2021, Naturally, there’ll also be some excellent local wines on offer and plenty of soft drinks too.

And then… There’s the fun. We bring back the best dressed competition, plus many traditional games and events, such as the tug-o-war, stein holding and Bratwurst eating – plus some other exciting ones especially for 2021.

Family day: Sunday 24 October

Family day is always a sell-out at Oktoberfest. Offering all the delicious food, drink and (family-friendly) fun that Saturday’s guests enjoy, there’s a whole host of extras to ensure that the youngest members of the family are perfectly catered for.

This includes a bouncy castle, face painting, bucking bull, Hair Braidz, carnival rides, rabbit shooting, outdoor games… The list goes on. Shop till you drop at a host of market stalls selling local goods, wear your finest German outfit to take part in the best-dressed competition, and enjoy the best German BBQ foods, plus plenty of kid’s options to keep them satisfied the whole day through.
