In support of the community doing it tough during extended lockdowns, Rashay’s co-founder and CEO Rami Ykmour will auction off online all the signed sports memorabilia he has amassed over 12 years to raise funds for Lifeline Australia.
Ykmour hopes to raise $100,000 over the Father’s Day weekend, which he says will undoubtedly be a very tough time for many fathers who may have lost jobs or whom have been unable to see family members during lockdown.
“Men’s mental health is a very important to me, especially in such trying times, so when I heard that Lifeline had recorded its largest ever day of calls -over 35000- my heart broke for everyone that is struggling right now,’ Ykmour said.
“Every day, on average, eight Australians take their own lives, six of which are men. Worldwide, men are three times more likely to die of suicide than women. These are horrifying statistics and men really need to stop suffering in silence and reach out to organisations like Lifeline to get support when they are struggling.”
