Clayton Treloar to head up Harcourts in WA

Harcourts Australia today announced Clayton Treloar as the CEO in WA, at a time when their network has welcomed nine new offices in as many weeks.

Recognising his notable successes in leadership, sales, and operations in real estate, recruitment and franchising, the business says Clayton is an excellent appointment at a crucial time.

According to CEO of Harcourts Australia, Marcus Williams, it is rare to find a leader with a combination of experience and success in franchising strategy and in a real estate franchise.

“Clayton had many years of experience in the franchising industry, both at a franchisee and a franchisor level,” Mr Williams said.

He is a certified franchise executive, a global qualification that requires three years of study, and is on the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) where he is involved in strategy, advice for franchises and is a judge for the annual Excellence in Franchising Awards.

For the last seven years, Clayton has been the Australian CEO for a franchise with 2800 locations worldwide, including 40 here in Australia.

“Clayton has real estate in his blood, starting with his family’s own prominent real estate agency in Mandurah in Western Australia where he achieved his real estate sales certificate and sold real estate for several years, winning awards along the way, before moving overseas to lead operations for a major brand.”

“Clayton understands our client base in this climate; he is a property owner himself with an investment portfolio, and is on the committee of a large 100-unit strata complex in Perth.”

Mr Williams says the brand’s values are very much about “people first”, and Clayton shares those values.

Mr Treloar says it’s an honour to be heading up Harcourts in his home state.

“Real estate is an important basis for wealth creation for most Australians, and this is an industry that is in my blood,” Mr Treloar.

“Harcourts is a brand that is making an indelible mark on the way property should be transacted at a time when the real estate market has never been so buoyant.”

“Harcourts has always been a business that puts people first; that’s always there to support its people at every level to grow and achieve their ambitions.”

“It has a culture of community which has seen the organisation rapidly grow over just 24 short years. Harcourts is home to some of the leading real estate businesses in Western Australia and it’s a growth trajectory I’m honoured to champion.”

“I look forward to inviting more people who share our values to join the Harcourts brand in WA.”
