Sunset Drive In Cinema is back at the St Ives Showground

Roll up and put your seat back, Sunset Cinema is bringing that movie magic back! The classic drive-in has opened its gates at St Ives Showground. You can make the most of the new freedoms and revel in socialising with friends and family whilst in the comfort of your own car bubble.

There’s a spectacular stockpile of long awaited film titles including new comedy Free Guy, animated adventure Ron’s Gone Wrong and Marvel's latest action Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, patrons can finally once again experience movies on the big screen. In true drive-in style the program also includes classics such as Grease & The Greatest Showman, or catch Christmas classics Home Alone & Love Actually.

Inherently COVID safe and with a proven track record of operating a safe event, Sunset Drive-in is excited to welcome all patrons meeting the NSW health orders on vaccination to their events and in solidarity with the community, employing local event staff and onsite contractors who have also stepped up to get the jab.

Running Wednesday through to Sunday across 6 jam-packed weeks, hungry movie lovers can savour the spring evenings with delicious fare from Caminito’s food truck serving their mouth watering burgers. You can also stock up all your fave movie snacks including Sunset’s famous freshly popped popcorn and classic choc tops.

Look out for the chance to get your lips around some full-flavoured samples from Big Drop Brewing non-alcoholic beer with tastings on site most Fridays.

Tickets start at $45.00 (plus booking fee) and gates open at 6:30pm with the movie starting at last light around 8:00pm. The full program is up on the website now so try not to deliberate for too long, this popular event sold-out most sessions last year and tickets are expected to be snapped up fast!
