Launching today in Queensland, ORP exists to serve the many thousands looking to find their purpose and Creative “WHY?” in business, books and in life. With remote offices globally, ORP is a unique business model, the first of its kind in Australasia. Ocean Reeve is Australasia’s #1 Author Success Coach, a published Author, Public Speaker and now is the Founder and Creative Director of his independent publishing house that wears his name – Ocean Reeve Publishing. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, he is extremely excited by his new business venture, ORP. Having worked with over 3800 authors in traditional, educational and independent publishing Ocean says, “I understand the psychology behind marketing, the emotional intelligence required, knowledge and skillset needed and what marketing works and what doesn’t. However, it isn’t as simple as applying the same marketing techniques for every author—each author is different, each book is different, and each personal vision is different.” Alongside the typical publishing services that ORP will undertake by a publishing house, Ocean’s signature Book Marketing Mentorship has been extremely popular and sought after propelling his need to go out independently. “People are drawn to new ideals and ways of thinking so if your book marketing is approached on this level you have a higher chance of being noticed and create engagement,” he says. His 10X Author Success model includes a strong analysis of a creative’s idea and viability as well as the end goal and feasibility. Once assessed, it’s about connecting the dots. Ocean’s Book Marketing Mentorship includes seven modules and is available as a one-on-one consultation process and following soon as an online program.  He firmly believes that in publishing, the majority look at book marketing success as having their book in bookstores. Does that mean it sells? Does that even mean the bookstore has bought it? “No! Quite the opposite”, he says.  “We need to think outside the box with book marketing and break the expected traditions to stand out from the crowd. If you do everything according to the rules, like everybody else does, you'll get the same results everybody else gets. This is not a good move if you want to stand out, and succeed,” commented Ocean, “I can say with hand on heart that none of the successes I have had in my life would have happened if I hadn’t broken some rules. Fear of failure is one of the most common ‘success blockers’. Yet creativity is the biggest rebellion there is.” Over the past 18 months Ocean has traversed the country speaking and conducting over 100 seminars to reach authors and business leaders and help them begin or take the next step of their author journey and leadership. With locations such as Perth, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Cairns, Mount Isa and more, Ocean understood the need to deliver his messages face-to-face. “He is an extremely popular presenter with many referred and repeat customers,” says a Library spokesperson. “His reputation often proceeds him at these events as his customer relationship skills is on par like no other. Countless times we have heard Ocean say, “I’ll take care of it”, when posed a question by an author and on every occasion he has, thereby establishing his trust with an author or business leader.” For a long time Ocean has coached authors on finding their “WHY” in life and he is beyond excited to be in the position of fulfilling his own personal “WHY” with the official launch of ORP. He continues to set goals for himself and fundamentally wants to impact and influence more people in embracing their creativity and hopefully, assist in the publishing of more and more authors creative passions. “No one has a pre-purchased ticket for tomorrow,” says Ocean, “It is about finding your WHY, trusting in yourself, living that purpose to the maximum and giving back to your community and world; that is then the legacy you can leave, this takes one full circle.” ORP will have its primary office locations in the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland, New Zealand. Ocean Reeve Publishing has a global reach as well as other remote offices around Australasia with the industry trend of being able to work remotely, with flexibility and creatively. Ocean’s creative leadership style extends to business leaders and entrepreneurs globally. Ocean is also a Committee member and Speaker Co-ordinator for the Gold Coast Writers Association. Ocean appears in person, delivering seminars and workshops and his point of difference is that he teaches you how to express creativity freely and generate your own yellow brick road. With over 15 years’ experience in all facets of the publishing industry, he has a wealth of knowledge and guidance to share in the world of assisted independent publishing. Teaming up with Perth-based “The Book Mentors” Ocean Reeve and Ross Addison are together looking forward to helping many new authors understand the process to becoming successfully published by avoiding costly mistakes. The aim of Ocean’s presentations is to encourage new authors on their writing and publishing journey by explaining to them the process including integrity in the industry so an author feels equipped to protect themselves along their journey. Ocean Reeve is an author himself having published his book, “The Word” that covers everything a new writer would need to know in the world of Independent Publishing. Based in Brisbane, Ocean works with a team of progressive and innovative leaders in their field. InHouse Publishing/Print and Design/Signs are constantly revising the technology behind processes including high-expense investment in machinery, training and staff. This creative environment provides regular inspiration that further heightens the experience for the customer to help bring their books their life. Ocean strongly believes this translates into all parts of the creative process which is what motivates him to be travelling the country for the past 12 months delivering his highly popular seminar to libraries and businesses including the local Chambers of Commerce in each location. “Inspired to Publish” Seminar includes: ·         The growth of the industry ·         Understanding the creative process ·         Why we should publish ·         The Independent Publishing process ·         The basics of book marketing   Corruption in the self-publishing industry has never been at such an all-time-high as authors pour thousands of dollars and hope into their books and works to receive nothing or very little in the way of sales or even their ‘actual’ books. Many are locked into ten year contracts, caveats where they cannot sell their own books and as a result, are now heavily in debt. When they have taken Australian Self-Publishers to court and won – the self-publishing sharks have air-tight financials in place to protect them and not the author. The phrase “What is best for business” gets used constantly. Recently interviewed by ABC Radio, Ocean Reeve explains in detail the pitfalls of the publishing industry (both traditional and self-publishing) and what authors should look out for. His in-depth knowledge of the industry attracts massive interest from authors all over the world as he highlights how to not only be a creative author but how to ensure you remain in control throughout the process. Ocean currently manages over 400 active authors, many of whom have been recovered by Ocean as they sat in his offices crying; yet again having been ripped off by overseas and Australian Self-Publishing companies. Ocean Reeve says, “I love Australia, a fantastic country with some awesome people. However, it also is a country that has facilitated some businesses to operate with very little ethics, principles, or respect. I have discovered in the last four years that there are at least four publishing companies in this country that are anything but transparent, experienced, and customer-focused. I have a proven track record of helping thousands of authors and it climbs daily. The percentage of authors that have needed recovery has also climbed and despite the legal battles, police involvement, and media exposure, there seems to be no accountability. Well there is with me.” InHouse Publishing / Ocean Reeve works with many high profile clients also including:   • Toni Childs – EMMY Award Winner (Singer/Songwriter) - ‘Rebuild Nepal’ launching in October 2016 • William Shatner – from Star Trek Book: “Catch Me Up” was successful crowdfunding campaign • Andrew Barsa – Wealth Psychology expert and public speaker who has written “The Inner Millionaire” • Eric Bailey – No. 1 Google ranked and activational speaker and author of “Bring Your A Game”   Since his journey began in publishing, Ocean has helped authors find their voice and he continues to build a strong community of authors and publishing professionals across Australasia and beyond.  He is an incredibly inspirational speaker that encourages participants to find their “inner-author” and begin to put pen to paper. Ocean and InHouse’s events tour program includes Perth, Melbourne and previously this year, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Mount Isa, and Cairns as he continues to share his experience and knowledge of writing, creative leadership and publishing at every opportunity.   For more information please see www.oceanreeve.com or this short video we put together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A4_GwFT0I8 Ross Addison of “The Book Mentors” is excited by the partnership of InHouse Publishing and Ocean Reeve for the Perth Seminars Series. Ross, a published author himself, agrees that by acting as a Mentor he is able to use his experience to help new authors. Since 2001 he has been writing and creating viable projects, interviewing, writing and working with talented professionals in every aspect of the publishing ‘game’, which has certainly evolved over time.   “Everybody has a story in them, just waiting to be told! And a good story, well told, will always gain traction and be remembered by its readers!” says Ross Addison (The Book Mentors).     “Inspired to Publish” Seminars:   Joondalup Library, Perth, WA 14th August 2016. 2.30pm - 4.00pm   Armadale Library, Perth, WA 15th August 2016. 5.30pm - 7.00pm   City of Fremantle Library, Perth, WA 16th August 2016. 5.30pm - 7.00pm   Mandurah Library, Mandurah, WA 17th August. 5.00pm - 6.30pm     For more information: For Bookings: http://www.oceanreeve.com/#!speaking/c1vw1 For more:         https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A4_GwFT0I8 Websites:         www.oceanreeve.com www.inhousepublishing.com.au www.craftingwords.com.au www.emagine.agency   Email:              oceanreeve@gmail.com                         info@cindyrochstein.com ross@craftingwords.com.au   Social Media:   Facebook/Ocean Reeve Twitter/Ocean Reeve   -ends- ABOUT “THE BOOK MENTORS” “It’s our belief that everyone out there has a story in them, just waiting to be told. The hard part, people tell us, is getting it down on paper and then getting it printed. And that’s where we can help. Self-publishing is the saviour of today’s would-be authors but you do need to know what you’re doing to keep costs under control and avoid costly mistakes. You cannot buy experience and that hands-on knowledge that we have gained over the years is vital in pulling a successful project together. Since 2001 we have been writing and creating viable projects, interviewing, writing and working with talented professionals in every aspect of the publishing ‘game’, which has certainly evolved over time. As a mentor, I am able to use my own experience to guide new authors through the process of writing including elements like plot, structure, themes and more with the idea of teaming up with Ocean Reeve to help Western Australian authors get successfully published.”   About Ross Addison: I’ve plied my craft a writer in a number of different guises for almost 45 years now and, along the way, learned that a lot of people can ‘write’ but few are blessed with that innate ability to tell a story. Throughout my career, whether writing television or radio commercials, websites, blogs or books, I was always simply ’telling a story’. How interesting and informed you make that story dictates how effective it will be as a piece of communication.  I wrote and published my first book in 2001 but it wasn’t until I came to Perth in 2010, following a successful, life-changing bone marrow transplant, that I knew that being an author was what really inspired me and was what I wanted to do full-time.  I’ve published nine different titles to date with another three currently in production. My published works cover a range of topics from self-improvement and motivation to biographies of iconic Australians that I have ghost-written on their behalf. What I enjoy most of all is being able to use my skills as a writer to help others get their story told.  It’s an uplifting and satisfying experience for me when I see the look of pure joy when I hand that first copy of their story, in print, to someone who I have mentored through the process. And perhaps for a brief moment you consider doing this - but you hesitate and ask yourself, "It'd just be a hobby right? An accomplishment to say you've done it once?" But then what...   In this time of political chaos, one thing is very clear - Australia is in for a mess economically and politically and there has never been a better time to review your business strategy and financial position and start to begin to implement "Your Plan B". “Your Plan B” being; to publish.   The common misconception that to publish means you have to sit down and write "War and Peace" (although if you are currently doing that amazing - keep going!) However, to publish actually means to make “information available” and there are many different forms of publishing that you can do to help your business. This could include being able to bring in new customers, (by writing you are adding credibility to you and your business), make new markets and audiences aware of new products, find new joint ventures or collaborations or increase sales.   And…no amount of politically instability can change the fact that if you find new ways in which to share your business or new products and increase your bottom line, that this does not put you in a worse off position than you were before this all began. In fact, its puts you in a position of strength, where business can begin to act independently of governments.   This is more crucial now than ever where the chance that Australia could lose its AAA Credit Rating, and as the ‘winning’ Government you surely do not want to be the one carrying this legacy. In recent days we saw the UK lose its credit rating due to “Brexit”. Make no mistake the "watch dogs" have put Australia on notice - if it does not ‘heal’ its increasingly widening budget blowout or as a nation, spend more responsibly, we could see Australia become downgraded in its credit rating.   So what does this mean for you? Well it means that the Reserve Bank is left to find "short term" solutions - it is tipped widely to further lower the interest rate, but the "long term" solutions are left economically to the government. The falling dollar, superannuation decline, a government where the power is left in the hands of very few (the Independents) and changes to policies we not yet know, nor understand. Increased house prices are a given, negative gearing questionable, tax incentives, family incentives, small and big business, you name it, it’s up for ‘grabs’.   The only sure thing that can be said at this time is that we are all in a "Wait and Watch" mode. We are supposed to sit back and watch as a Government (whoever gets in) attempt to get a stranglehold on the power remnants (the Independents). The Coalition Government will be decisive in business, a Labor Government will be investing conservatively for the long term, focusing on the people and small business. Michelle Sheppard is one of the Co-Founders of LGBTI Jobs and is a radio host on Melbourne’s popular radio station Joy FM (94.9 FM). She has taken a strong lead on educating and bringing about awareness to the wider LGBTI community for years. Previously working in the IT sector, she now regularly contributes to policies for political agendas, appears on employment forums and is a strong advocate for the trans youth – she is also a TransWoman who has experienced discrimination in the workplace. “When I was trying to return to my previous field of IT I faced many challenges. When talking to recruiters I wasn't sure if I should disclose that I was transgender when applying, because I felt they would unconsciously discriminate even though legally that's not allowed. Unfortunately, when I was up front about my transition, I was told by recruiters that “being transgender wasn’t a cultural fit” within the organisations for which they were arranging interviews” says Michelle. Michelle continues, “Eventually I was lucky enough to get a break and was successful seeking full time employment. I was honest and open about my struggle and the employer empathised with my situation. Now I am one of only 20% of Australian transgender women who have full time employment earning more than $1000 a week.” Simon Ginsberg (Founder) says, “LGBTI Jobs was born out of my strong belief in the need for everyone to feel they belong in a diverse and inclusive workplace. It’s extremely disheartening when in this day we still see such widespread discrimination. ‘Michelle’s’ story is sadly very typical of what we see in the workplace. We want to ensure that Michelle and others feel that they are not only recognised but are respected in their workplace.” LGBTI Jobs officially launches today (17th May 2016) in an Australian national-first and will assist all graduates and jobseekers to connect with organisations who actively engage in LGBTI inclusion initiatives. For more information: www.lgbtijobs.com.au Simon Ginsberg and Michelle Sheppard are available for interviews. Private Lives 2 reports that only 30 % of trans and gender diverse men, and 32 % of trans and gender diverse women were employed. In contrast, the Tranznation study reports that 41.1 % of participants were in full-time employment. This compares poorly with the general population where 57 % of men across Australia are employed full-time. Trans and gender diverse men and women were also more likely to earn less than men and women in the study, with 78 % of trans and gender diverse men and 71 % of trans and gender diverse women earning less than $1000 a week compared with 50 % of males and 57 % of females in the general population. - ends –   For more information:   Website:                      www.lgbtijobs.com.au Michelle Sheppard also wrote for the Australian Equality Party: http://www.equality.org.au/trans   Media contact:             Cindy Rochstein www.emagine.agency (M: 0437 094 049; E: info@emagine.agency) “Shhh… ‘Mum’s the Word’” 2016-05-11T03:13:01Z shhh-mum-s-the-word “My heart hurts everyday as I can not see or speak to my children or even know how they are doing” - Sally. Alienated Mum of 2. Independent Melbourne filmmaker Karen Hodgkins is giving a voice to mum’s by documenting ten of their heartbreaking stories in a new tell-all book, 'Mum's the Word'. With the support of Independent Senator, John Madigan, a fundraiser will be held on Sunday 15th May (The Bells Hotel, Moray St. South Melbourne , 1-5pm) to bring awareness to this issue and assist with the development of this book, ‘'Mum's the Word'. Almost on a daily basis we hear of news reports claiming that some parents are taking extreme measures to be heard; kidnapping, overseas child abductions and some parents taking their own children’s lives. Recently we saw the lengths a mother would go too (as seen recently on 60 minutes – Sally Faulkner case). In Victoria alone, two category one children (dead or almost dead) are reported to the Department of Human Services everyday. (Aust. Minister for Family 2015) Everyday, in Australia 261 divorce cases are lodged into our Federal Circuit Courts (ABS 2015). In a recent study it was found that some parents can pay up to $275,000 in court fees to have the right to a relationship with their own children, some cases taking up to ten years to resolve. Contrary to what many people think, many professional mothers are alienated and silenced as they struggle to maintain any form of a relationship with their children due to bitter divorce battles and a broken family court system (Federal and State) that are overstretched and under resourced. In ‘Mums the Word’, ten mothers will be able to speak anonymously for the first time about their heartbreak – mothers who are highly professional and include, a Chemist, an Anesthetist, two Nurses, two Accountants, a Singing Teacher, a Hairdresser, Counsellor and a Senior government Psychologist. Karen Hodgkins (who is also the creator of the ‘Dad’ documentary) helped to get a motion passed through the Senate this year regarding the Family Court when she visited Parliament in 2015 to present the film as requested by Senators who support this issue. Karen says, “Mothers can go years without contact or seeing their children, by which time incredible damage has been done to all involved; especially the children. It is time we became aware of this growing and disturbing phenomenon in our current court system and demand change.” “In this modern age, the sense of inhumanity and crisis beggars belief” - Senator John Madigan (VIC) “It’s really the kids who suffer, they don’t have the capacity to understand as much as we do, they sit in their own quite world blaming themselves” says Phil York a Counsellor from Dads in Distress. “It is enormously difficult for the courts to deal with people who have mental illnesses which are mis-treated or undiagnosed, for whom the best interests of the children may not be in the forefront of their minds” says Patrick Parkinson a Family Law Professor Sydney University. Is our current system really working in ‘the best interest of the children.’? “I think it’s time to re cast the family law act” says Former Judge David Collier. Sunday 15th May 2016 will be a fundraiser at The Bells Hotel - 157 Moray St. South Melbourne (from 1pm-5pm), to raise money to create the book and raise awareness of this issue. Senator John Madigan will be our guest speaker along with live performances from the Michelle Slater Performing Arts Dancers, and mother’s who have written poems and songs for their children. Arriving in Cairns next week, Toni will travel to Green Island to trial Seawalker helmets for a first-ever-underwater concert experience. The aim is to test the acoustics and wiring with a dive in place – an underwater rehearsal so to speak. Twenty-years ago, Toni was inspired by a documentary about a marine biologist that had a special underwater cover for his synthesizer and when he played it under the water the response from the dolphins was beautiful. Ever since then, Toni has wanted to play music for the marine world. Childs says, “Never in a million years did I think that I would be able to sing underwater, but now I can! And I am stoked!” The concert to be held in September will involve Toni being mic’d up whilst in a helmet in order to be able to sing underwater to the marine life whilst her band performs at sea level on a floating pontoon. This will be the first-ever concert of its kind and will be a unique way to celebrate the launch her new album, “It’s All A Beautiful Noise.” Toni Childs considers herself to be an entertainer but also a global citizen of the planet and has long understood the connection that all life has on planet Earth. “Our life in this reality we call planet Earth is amazing and so precious and it is so important to me that we take care of it and acknowledge that how we take care of our planet is a direct reflection of how we take of ourselves,” says Childs. Marine life in particular holds a special place in Toni’s heart where the importance of sound and communication is key to survival and life in a submerged ecosystem where sight and other senses are limited. Just like in music, whales and dolphins must communicate through ranges of sound and this is symbolic to Toni’s creation of this album. Notwithstanding its own set of challenges, it took a massive amount of courage and the convergence of creative energy to bring this album and concert together. Originally the album was due to be launched at 10,000ft on Poon Hill in Nepal last April. This was to celebrate what had seemed a near impossible feat of trekking under difficult, yet breathtakingly beautiful scenery and meeting the amazing Nepalese people along the journey. Tragically, less than 36hours after leaving, Nepal was devastated by one of the most severe earthquakes ever recorded, killing thousands and destroying much of the country. Toni recalls feeling that her energy needed to be focused on helping the Nepalese people and she set about raising money to help rebuild Nepal (through the creation of her book, cd and dvd). So far the team has raised over $60,000 and anticipate that they will get to $200,000 by the end of this year. Toni recently put on the first ‘Rebuild Nepal Concert’ at Crystal Castle just outside of Mullumbimby which will now be an annual event.  After a year focused on the rebuild of Nepal, Toni wanted to do something extraordinary for her album launch of “It's All A Beautiful Noise”. She wanted her album to reflect the year of the natural world that she had been a huge part of and the relationship and intricacies in connection that we all share. So, an underwater concert and launch seemed like an amazing thing to pull off! And, what better way than to celebrate underwater in one of the most iconic locations in the world, North Queensland. Toni Childs says: "From the furthest star to the smallest grain of sand we are all connected with the planet and its living creatures. I have always felt a strong connection to consciousness on this planet whether that is human, animal or water. I try to sing to the collective that is beyond just the confines of what a music industry would consider marketable and sing and reach for that which helps us all as being to feel connected. It's all a Beautiful Noise is an album that is really sung through me by ‘A-future-self’ that came to me in a dream and this future self can communicate to depths which is beyond our limited understanding and she is here to teach me a thing or two as well.” Allan Woo (General Manager, Seawalker) says: "We are very excited to be assisting Toni Childs in her preparations this Wednesday 4th May for her forthcoming concert in September later this year. It will be one of the first of-its-kind in the world and we will be helping Toni test the acoustics and other sound equipment. We will also be helping Toni with her Yoga event that she has planned as a special treat for the locals of Cairns.” Toni will also be holding her unique, signature Yoga session aptly called “You’re Beautiful”. Toni and her husband Mik have been traveling across the globe offering very deep and joyous Yoga sessions that are a mix of Movement, Yin Yoga, Meditation and Sound-Shower/Singing Performance. These yoga session leave all participants in a state of deep connection to the beauty of who they are - the effect is stunning! The 90-minute session will be held on Wednesday 4th May at Synergy Studios (66 Johanna St, Trinity Park) from 6.30pm. Bookings Essential: www.yogahubcairns.com or email: yogahubcairns@gmail.com or Phone: 0457 632 700 (Cost: $30). Toni and her Australian husband (Mik Lavage) recently moved from their home in Hawaii (US) to Australia to embark on the creation of shows for Toni’s new albums, “Citizens of the Planet” and “It’s all a Beautiful Noise”. Feeling the remoteness of Hawaii and having previously toured Australia, Toni felt a strong feeling of connection when driving through Byron Bay that she just couldn’t ignore and simply had to follow. She fell in love with Byron which is by all accounts now considered home to the couple who adore its balance between city access, natural world beauty, wonderful spirits that fuels their creative passion and fill their hearts with love. -ends- Book Details: Title: REBUILD NEPAL Publication Date: October 2016 Pre-Release Special Edition Signed Copies $59.95. We had planned to launch our album "It’s All A Beautiful Noise" at 10,000ft on Poon Hill Nepal last April, but 36 hours after we left the country (having achieved what seemed the impossible) an earthquake hit that devastated many parts of the country. We didn't feel it was right to run on publicity about Nepal for our own gain so most of our energy for the rest of the year was spent raising money to help rebuild the country. We are now continuing our support for Nepal with an annual concert and a book which will be launched later this year. We have raised well over $60,000 so far and that should jump over the $200,000 mark by the end of this year.  So after a year focused on the rebuild of Nepal we wanted to do something else extraordinary for our launch and as “It's All a Beautiful Noise” will be toured with a show all about our relationship to the natural world – an underwater launch seemed like an amazing thing to pull off! Do you feel that you have a strong connection with the planet and its living creatures? I have always felt a strong connection to consciousness on this planet whether that is human, animal or water. I try to sing to the collective that is beyond just the confines of what a music industry would consider marketable and sing and reach for that which helps us all as being to feel connected. “It’s All A Beautiful Noise” is an album that is really sung through me by ‘A-future-self’ that came to me in a dream and this ‘future-self’ can communicate to depths which is beyond our limited understanding and she is here to teach me a thing or two as well.   What made you move from the US to Australia? My husband and I wanted to embark on the creation of shows for my new albums "Citizens of the Planet" and “It's All A Beautiful Noise" and Hawaii is just too remote to really be a sensible place to work. Also I had toured a lot in Australia and every time I drove through the Byron Bay area I had a very strong feeling and part of me wanted to follow that feeling. Byron is now where we consider home. It is filled with wonderful spirits whom we have connected very deeply with and is the right balance of city access with the beauty of the natural world being on tap also. I just love it! What are some recent charity events that you've done and please provide me with some info surrounding them We recently put on the first Rebuild Nepal Concert at Crystal Castle just outside of Mullumbimby and we are making this an annual event. Toni was also approached by the UN to be a part of the Sustainable goals concert in NYC. Her philanthropic propensity has been in effect for a very long time and she has worked tirelessly for charitable organisations in many different areas - from her work on Eve Enslers's "Until the Violence Stops" documentary for which she won an EMMY, to having her own charity that helped facilitate dolphin-assisted therapies to children with various disabilities. It is an important piece of our lives and our work. I believe in “us” and that we have the wisdom inside us to keep evolving to our fullest potential. Have you been to Cairns before?  What do you like about it? My only trip to Cairns was to play two concerts at the Tanks venue which were amazing nights that I have been wanting to replicate but haven't quite managed to make it happen yet. I really want to connect with the reef and see what immense beauty is on offer just off the coast here. Although I am pretty keen to stay clear of the crocs and jellyfish - Australia is such an amazing and yet, amazingly dangerous place - but I love it! What are you known plans surrounding your concert?  Will it be charity?  Live?  Broadcasted international? We will definitely be filming the concert and making it into a global event as much as possible -- right now we are testing the technology and learning how it can all come together. I am just so excited about the possibilities here. How do you think the whales will react to the songs you sing to them? Well my dream is to sing to Migaloo the white whale and I am really hoping the music generates a reaction of intrigue and wonder from these majestic animals. What are the known plans surrounding your Yoga event?  Title: “You’re Beautiful” – 90 minute Yoga Session About: Toni and her husband Mik have been traveling across the globe offering very deep and joyous Yoga sessions that are a mix of Movement, Yin Yoga, Meditation and Sound-Shower/Singing Performance. Toni Childs' powerful voice bathes you in sound and love - and aligns you with the truth - YOU are beautiful! Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter, Toni Childs designed a unique experience, “I designed a yoga experience which combines improvisational dance, meditation, story-telling and singing plus a number of gentle stretches... In creating this session, I have drawn on instruction from two important yoga teachers: Peewee G Patricia Howard and Chocho Saul David Raye. I sing and bath you in loving resonance as we transition from one section of our session to another ending with my Emmy-Award winning song Because You’re Beautiful. “Each of us are beautiful, dynamic beings that are crying out to experience more self-love, self-appreciation, and self-care. My practice is a way to blast the doors off the hinges to our personal cages of limitation, and engage in deepening our relationship with ourselves.” Toni Childs Bio Toni Childs… is an Emmy winner and three-time Grammy nominated recording artist, installation artist, environmental activist, and now a yoga and mindfulness teacher. In 2003, Eve Ensler, author of the Vagina Monologues, asked Toni to write an anthem that would inspire people to end violence against women and girls for her documentary, Until the Violence Stops. The documentary aired on Lifetime Television in January of 2004, and her song, Because You’re Beautiful, went on to win an Emmy that same year. Because You’re Beautiful is an incredibly powerful and potent song, that is ever-evolving, and is central to Toni's unique yoga offering. This song inspired her to design a very powerful yoga experience that includes silent meditation, and a live performance love shower component… In 2008, Toni released a new album called Keep the Faith, and put Because You’re Beautiful on the album. For the next three years she toured all the nooks and crannies of regional Australia to perform countless concerts. "During my many tours, I noticed that men and women in the audience looked somewhat detached. It was like they were beaten by life. A lot of the women looked like they had left themselves on the side of the road, and forgot to go back to pick themselves up… Perhaps they had given all their energy to being amazing mothers, wives or lovers. Or perhaps they remained in a relationship they should have left years ago or had lost a loved one. Whatever the reason, it appeared to me that these women were losing their playfulness, sensuality, and most importantly, their power." Witnessing this, Toni plucked up the courage to start talking about what she was observing during her concerts. She began inviting women to come onto the stage with her so she could sing to them personally and remind them of the truth – that they are beautiful and their very essence is beauty! This produced an incredible amount of tears, and vulnerability! After performing Because You’re Beautiful at countless venues around the world, Toni listened to her intuition and inner guidance to bring this transformational experience into the more intimate setting of a yoga environment. "I guess I would have to say that my yoga sessions focus on growing our personal seed of evolution through self- love, self -appreciation and by advocating for ourselves. Yoga asanas assists us to release and move energy out of the body so we can reduce mind chatter to sit in silence and observation in order to create a greater bandwidth to access our expanded SELF: Soul Evolved Life Force." Through his vision and undertakings as a key note speaker, Eric found that his audiences were lacking the guidance needed to move forward and empower their own lives. He seized the opportunity and began to record the story of his life in a way that could be used as a guidebook to help empower teenagers who lacked self-esteem right through to corporates who were looking for success, leadership and achievements in their own careers. Based in Brisbane, (Australia) the former NBL player with the Hobart Devils, Melbourne Tigers and Gold Coast Rollers is a regular keynote speaker in the education and corporate sector on a global level. Eric draws on his successful career and his adversity growing up as a young, desperate man in the ‘Hood’ whom with sheer determination and mindset, has gone on to achieve incredible success. His unique and personable way of sharing his life story and lessons learned has connected with over 3 million people worldwide to date and continues to grow at a rapid rate. Eric knows that through his new book, Bring Your A Game, he will be able to help completely transform lives and change individuals, helping them to achieve success despite the challenges they may face. The book, Bring Your A Game, helps readers navigate the waters of abandonment and anticipation to success and achievement. Based on the former NBL’s professional life as an athlete, Eric shares raw and often bitterly revealing recollections of the discrimination, economic uncertainty, loss and abandonment that served as his initiation into the world. His new book is about overcoming adversity and navigating life's difficulties, in order to empower those feeling powerless in their own lives to go on to achieve their own personal success. Eric Bailey says: "Just because you have been abandoned or rejected by society, an organisation or a relationship, that is no reason why you should let those challenges abandon your own goals, dreams and aspirations, if you do, you are missing out on your abundance – if you believe in yourself, and want it bad enough, you have to go out and get it yourself." Ocean Reeve (Publisher) says: "As Eric’s publisher I have never seen an author write and publish a book that is so amazing and inspirational (and in record time). Eric’s hunger for life has been captured in the messages within his book and I have no doubt that he will go on to help change all who read his book and comes across his path. The importance of his message was so profound that the Inhouse Publishing Team felt compelled to work tirelessly to bring Eric’s book to the market as quickly as possible.” Book Details: Publication Date: February 2016 – Available now Title: Bring Your A Game (Climb the Stairs to your personal success) Available: www.ericbaileyglobal.com, www.amazon.com or www.inhousebookstore.com.au For every book sold, Eric will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to his charity Nourish the Children.
