The PRWIRE Press Releases https:// 2003-12-03T17:17:00Z Kyocera launches the FS-C5016N colour printer 2003-12-03T17:17:00Z kyocera-launches-the-fs-c5016n-colour-printer Kyocera, the document imaging specialist, today launched the FS-C5016N, the first A4 colour printer to benefit from the companys unique ECOSYS technology. The single-pass FS-C5016N prints in full colour at 16 pages per minute and is exceptional value with full colour printing for less than eight cents per page. Another advantage is the long life maintenance kit of 200,000 pages, far exceeding any other vendors offer. The FS-C5016N is the ideal economical output device for mono and colour printing requirements in any office enabling organisations to produce professional quality business documents quickly and easily. Senior product manager Yogesh Patel comments, The FS-C5016N represents a quantum leap in low cost, high quality office colour printing. It is ideal for producing spreadsheets, presentations, reports and proposals any document that benefits from the power of colour. Its low running cost means that it is cost effective for mono and full colour printing. Recent research carried out by Kyocera and emedia has shown that the two biggest concerns for end users when purchasing a colour printer are the consumables cost per page and the reliability of the machine. With the FS-C5016N we have addressed and overcome both those issues, removing the barriers to the widespread adoption of colour printing in the office, he added. The FS-C5016N comes networked as standard and has a 500 sheet paper tray and 100-sheet by-pass tray. Its 400MHz processor and 96MB standard memory ensure that it can cope with complex print jobs without compromising on speed while 600dpi resolution guarantees crisp, clear output. The FS-C5016N has an attractive purchase price of $3,999 ex. tax. Coupled with its low cost of under eight cents per page for full colour and under two cents per page for monochrome, the FS-C5016N represents the most cost-effective business colour printer on the market. The FS-C5016N can be expanded to meet the requirements of high volume users with the addition of up to three extra paper trays. A duplex unit may also be added. The FS-C5016N has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 85,000 pages and toner yield of 8,000 pages per colour. The Power of Colour: The New FS-C8008N 2003-05-12T18:05:00Z the-power-of-colour-the-new-fs-c8008n Kyocera Mita Australia/New Zealand has released the latest ECOSYS Colour Laser Printer, the FS-C8008N, the most exciting new colour printer in its class. The FS-C8008N has been specifically designed for government and business workgroups, offering low TCO and high quality printing from A3 to A5 paper sizes. The use of colour in printed communications is on the rise; colour not only makes documents look better, it provides dramatic emphasis and improves the retention of information. The FS-C8008N has been designed to incorporate the advantages of colour printing with the added benefit of cost effective mono printing. Kyocera Mita now offers a total printing solution in one printer, eliminating the need for dedicated printers. The new high performance device can detect when printing in colour or mono and will alternate its speed from 31ppm for A4 mono to 8ppm for A4 colour accordingly. High performance, low cost and durability The low running cost of the FS-C8008N is achieved with the long life components and high yield consumables which result in low cost per page; Colour under 2c. Mono is under 1c. (ex GST) ECOSYS technology uses extremely durable components to save money and help protect the environment. For example, instead of replacing the drum, developer and toner, which are consumables in traditional laser printers, the only component that needs replacement is the toner. This makes printing costs exceptionally low and minimises waste without compromising print quality. Environment Adoption Stabilisation System Fluctuations in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity can cause the same images to appear differently when printed on two separate days. The FS-C8008N uses advanced technology with its special toner density control system called the Environment Adoption Stabilisation System to virtually guarantee consistent image quality regardless of environmental conditions. Automatic Colour Calibration This tool ensures consistent image quality and faithful colour reproduction. Being fully automatic, the operator requires no knowledge of colour to obtain optimum results. Other features * low noise level for none-disruptive workgroup printing * hassle-free installation of toner, media and additional cassettes * paper capacity range from 650 to 3150 sheets * multi-purpose tray also handles smaller paper sizes and special media types such as transparencies, labels and cards * 2 year on-site warranty The FS-C8008N has been designed to offer the best solution for busy workgroups, for example: * Government/education, corporate and businesses that require A4 and A3 printing and seek to improve the quality of documents, proposals, newsletters, charts, presentations and related material. With an increasing share of the laser printer market, and sales up on last year, expansion rather than cut backs is on the minds of management. We are now almost twelve months on since the acquisition of Mita by Kyocera and things are looking good. Whilst others in the IT industry are laying off staff and even closing down their Australian operations, we are looking to put on new sales staff in various cities and open offices in additional states, said Mr Finn. The most recent state to be targeted by Kyocera Mita is South Australia. There is great potential in South Australia and as such, we are planning on opening a new office in Adelaide within the next few months. We have also recently moved into new offices in Victoria and have just employed two additional sales people, said Mr Finn. Eight new Kyocera Mita products will be launched by the end of the year, making it the most aggressive year on record. The new products will show a true convergence of the copier and printer markets. This will provide an exciting opportunity for the channel who will be able to make greater profits through increased margins on our new digital copier/printers. Its going to be a very exciting year for us all, concluded Mr Finn.
