The PRWIRE Press Releases https:// 2013-07-10T07:48:03Z Booragoon Residents Shaping Up for Summer 2013 2013-07-10T07:48:03Z booragoon-residents-shaping-up-for-summer-2013 Perth’s largest fitness equipment provider, Orbit Fitness recently surveyed residents in Booragoon asking them how they were going to get their bodies ready for summer and the finding were very encouraging. The poll found 57% of people were looking to start brisk walking or running to lose the weight but many of these participants admitting the wet weather does stop them from getting out and pounding the pavement. Another 17% of people said they’ll be aiming to cut down the amount of sugar and salt in their diet. Booragoon Store Manager, Chris Gray says people watching their sugar intake is particularly pleasing and added: “Many folk don’t realise fruit juices contain a great deal of sugar, regardless of whether the labels say: “No added sugar” – it’s the natural sugars found in fruit which can also add to the waistline)”. And for those residents who find it hard to get motivated to run in the rain? Orbit Fitness can make things easier with their Relocation Sale to coincide with the move to a brand new store at U3, 100 McCoy Street Booragoon, WA 6154 - next to Golf Box. They have a number of special deals on stock including treadmills, elliptical trainers and other stock waiting to be snapped up. When asked why Orbit Fitness has moved stores just two blocks away, Chris said: “Better location, bigger store, larger stock room, more convenient and larger parking bays and area make the move a great one for our business and our customers”. Joondalup Residents Getting Fit in 2013 2013-03-06T03:12:52Z joondalup-residents-getting-fit-in-2013 Starting early this year, Joondalup's foremost provider of fitness gear, Orbit Fitness, polled the city's people about what New Year's resolutions they made for 2013. Of those, more than three-quarters stated that they wanted to shed some of their extra weight. Ever since this endeavour was undertaken, Orbit Fitness has enjoyed an uncharacteristically large boost in their Joondalup fitness equipment sales. Due to this explosive growth, the company has upgraded to a larger property so that they can continue to offer a broader array of items to people who are into sports and fitness. The Managing Director of Orbit Fitness, Peter Hodgson, stated, "We've been very pleased that Joondalup residents have decided to take their health seriously this year. Because of everyone's increased interest in getting fit, our company has grown so much that it must transfer to a more accommodating location, which we will move into this week. The larger facilities will enable us to provide a better variety of fitness equipment to those interested in taking better care of their health." When the company questioned people about how they planned on losing the pounds, the overwhelming majority said that they're going to exercise more with a little over half stating that they plan to adopt a healthier diet. Only one-fifth said that they will try crash dieting. Out of the people who intended to exercise, nearly half opted to begin cardiovascular exercises like running or cycling. About one-third decided to use weight training while the rest chose group fitness activities or high-intensity activities like hockey or boxing. Beginning on the fifth of March, people living in Joondalup will be able to visit Orbit Fitness' new location at U78 Joondalup Gate, Joondalup Drive. It is located between Thingz Living and Freedom Furniture. The company's helpful and knowledgeable staff will always be around to make being healthy a bit simpler. To celebrate Joondalup's dedication to fitness, Orbit Fitness is reducing prices on several products in their new storefront. The sale, which lasts for the next two weeks, provides savings on exercise bikes, weights, treadmills and many other types of equipment. For more information contact: Jon Perman (Joondalup Store Manager) Tel: 6241 3004 or 1300 13 42 13 Email: sales@orbitfitness.com.auAbout Orbit Fitness Orbit Health & Fitness Solutions was established in 1983 as a direct response to the growing demand for home fitness equipment. How kids are keeping fit while Facebooking and Gaming 2013-02-21T02:29:06Z how-kids-are-keeping-fit-while-facebooking-and-gaming 21 February 2013: The greatest parenting dilemma of the past twenty years has finally been solved – ‘how do I keep my kids active when all they want to do is sit inside playing computer games’? Orbit Fitness’ Penguin Pedal Stool is the revolutionary exercise machine combating childhood obesity in Australia. Taking the shape of a contemporary-design-style stool that would fit in well in any sitting room, kitchen or meeting room, the Penguin Pedal Stool features bike pedals near the base of the stool, allowing those sitting on it to get some exercise in while doing otherwise sedentary tasks and pastimes such as reading, Facebooking, watching TV, doing homework or holding office meetings. Nevil Hunter, Sales Manager at Orbit Fitness, said: “The body is the only home you’ll never leave, so it’s worth taking good care of it and encouraging your kids to start at an early age too. Incidentally, the stylish design of the Penguin Pedal Stool means it will keep both your body and your home looking great! “Pedalling on the stool is a habit-forming activity, so once you’ve been doing it for a week or so you won’t even realise the work you’re doing to stay fit. I personally use it at work meetings and my kids use it while watching TV.”   Not only useful for kids with a passion for video games, the machine is also ideal for those in sedentary jobs, with Orbit Fitness getting many orders from mining companies wishing to keep their workers healthy while manning the control rooms. Another recent order from a Perth football club aimed to keep those on the sidelines warmed up while waiting to be brought on, while older people are also buying the stool as a great way to get in a low impact workout each day. Nevil continued: “The popularity of this handy machine has been phenomenal since we introduced it in late 2012. We’ve already sold over 150 stools with more orders coming in daily.” More information on the Penguin Pedal Stool can be found at http://www.orbitfitness.com.au/Penguin-Pedal-Stool.html (Ends) Media contact: Nevil Hunter Tel: 0403 242 706 Email: sales@orbitfitness.com.au Website: www.orbitfitness.com.au About Orbit Fitness Orbit Health & Fitness Solutions was established in 1983 as a direct response to the growing demand for home fitness equipment.
