PolArt 2015 Melbourne is the largest and longest running national multicultural arts festival hosted in Australia by a discrete ethnic group and in 2015 it’s Melbourne’s turn to play host. It is being presented by PolArt 2015 Melbourne Inc. Held triennially in a different host capital city from around Australia, PolArt has become the pre-eminent national Polish Arts Festival, drawing crowds in the hundreds of thousands. It is a family friendly, community festival focusing on artistic activities that allow audiences to immerse themselves in all forms of Polish art and culture. The festival will bring national, local, multicultural, generational and artistic elements together with over 1,100 artists and performers, entertaining across 22 venues over six weeks of festivities in the heart of the city of Melbourne. A combination of free public events and ticketed events will attract festival goers from Melbourne and interstate with 92% of events being free to the public. PolArt 2015 Melbourne Inc. is a not for profit entity run by volunteers from the community.
