In 1983/84 Power Technology began trading in New Lynn, distributing active and passive electronic components to New Zealand Electronic OEM exporters. Through our market research, strong connections and professional service we quickly grew to offer deeper and more diverse technologies. In 1995 the company moved to its current, purpose-built facilities in Henderson. Thirty two years after opening our doors we remain a leader in the design and distribution of electronic components, batteries, UPS, power systems, and renewable energy – trusted by major resellers and manufacturers throughout the country and offshore. Power Technology has been operating in the solar sector for over 15 years, with more than 1000kW of panels supplied to residential, industrial and OEM consumers and doubling that in construction now ( >1MW March 2015 ). Over the past decade there has been a rapid uptake of solar technology in the international community. This boom led to huge advances in technology and manufacturing techniques.
