The ADTI Group consists of both ADTI Pty Ltd and ADTI Consulting and was originally formed in the UK in 1996 by David Williams and Allan Bouglas. ADTI in Australia was formed by Roger Barnard in January 2002. All share a common view that good consultancies add maximum value to the clients business when the consultants themselves have previously "Walked the Walk" . Hence they have the experience to implement practical business solutions, tailored to specific business needs rather than applying pre-defined products or compiling lengthy theoretical tomes based primarily upon academic case studies. Roger's 35 year career began as an electrical engineer in the UK. After University he joined a mathematical computer modelling and programming company in London. He moved to South Africa in 1966 where he worked with IBM. He began a 19-year career with Honeywell in 1969 and was relocated to Australia in 1975, progressing through technical and sales management roles to become General Manager - Pacific achieving significant growth and profitability improvements. He was then appointed Managing Director and Director Asia Pacific of Concurrent Computers where, over the next 7 years, he was responsible for their operations in Australia, New Zealand, PRC, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and their SE Asian agencies. For the past 8 years he has operated as a professional and experienced business consultant to a number of local companies. In 2001 he decided to establish a network of independent senior business consultants and worked with ADTI UK to experience and utilise their model and practices; establishing the Australian and NZ arm of this fast developing multinational consultancy network in 2002.
