About Us
ANZGOG is recognised as the peak national group for gynaecological cancer research in Australia and New Zealand. The Group was established in 2000 by leading clinical specialists in gynaecological oncology to ensure that the latest and best treatments were available for women with one of the five gynaecological cancers – ovarian, uterine (commonly known as endometrial), cervical, vaginal and vulvar. ANZGOG enables its members, who represent all clinical, pure science and allied health disciplines, to conduct academic, investigator initiated clinical trials in multi-centres both locally and globally. As well, ANZGOG supports and funds the fostering of new research ideas including preclinical, early career researchers and clinical trial pilots, which pioneer new discoveries.
