Shitbox NZ is not a race but rather a challenge to achieve the unthinkable: to drive cars worth less than $1,000 AUD ($1,700 NZD) for seven days through the spectacular north island of New Zealand, starting and finishing in Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’. Teams are required to fundraise the New Zealand equivalent of $4,000 AUD to participate in Shitbox. The rally is a reward for all the fundraising the dedicated teams do. Providing them with a chance to meet like-minded people and to make the trip of a lifetime through one of the most spectacular places on earth.
