Straker Interactive, a Global provider of enterprise wide web-based applications specialising in content management and portal software, was formed in 1999 and is headed up by Merryn Goble, Chief Executive Officer and Grant Straker, Chief Technology Officer. The relatively young business has succeeded where its competitors have failed, simply by listening carefully to their customers? requirements and providing them with a solution their client owns and maintains. Head quartered in New Zealand, Straker Interactive develops a broad range of business solutions utilising content management as well as integrating with legacy systems. The company has been developed with two distinct divisions, one which is responsible for developing the Shado Content Management system and another division which provides services that include custom development on the Shado CMS or as standalone applications. The Shado CMS was developed by Straker in 2000 and has been progressively extended in functionality since that time. Shado is more than just a CMS ? it is a web application framework that provides an open architecture which easily enables integration with existing legacy systems. Shado provides a comprehensive solution with many prebuilt functions that allow for fast and efficient development including integration with legacy applications by a variety of means. Furthermore it is web service compliant and has an exposed API available for additional development.
