About Us

The Sydney Olympic Football Club is an integral part in the history of Soccer in Australia and maintains its status as one of the most popular and respected clubs in Australia. Beginning as the Pan-Hellenic Soccer Club in 1957 and re-branding as Sydney Olympic in 1977, Sydney Olympic has many notable achievements, including winning two National Soccer League Championships, two National Soccer League Cups, the National Soccer League Minor Premiership and two NSW Premier League Championships. The club has also won the Johnny Warren Cup, the Brett Emerton Cup, the National Youth League Championship, the National Youth League Minor Premiership and the NSW Premier League Club Championship. A key platform of Sydney Olympic FC is youth development. The SOFC youth program is inspired by the world renowned German football curriculum, led by coaches who travel to Australia from FC Schalke04 and other Bundesliga’s (the largest football league in Germany) top 10 Clubs. Sydney Olympic FC has a proud heritage, rich in culture and diversity, with a loyal and passionate supporter base. 2016 is an exciting year for SOFC. A new Board has been appointed with a future focussed mandate to build upon the strong foundation of Sydney Olympic, broaden its community appeal and further grow SOFC as one of Sydney’s great sporting clubs. This will also include the reveal of a new brand identity, a membership drive program and the staging of community events to encourage more people to share in the passion that is SOFC.
