About Us

The Lunaticks Society is an incorporated association with over 200 member’s that champion digital innovation and new ideas. The Lunaticks Society is named after a dinner club and informal group of prominent industrialists, natural philosophers and intellectuals, who met regularly between 1765 and 1813 in Birmingham, England to debate the new thinking of the industrial revolution. They were called Lunar Society of Birmingham and its members cheerfully referred to themselves as “Lunaticks.” Rather than steam engines and cotton mills, our bunch of Lunaticks discuss the digital revolution. Anyone passionate about digital innovation can become a member, whether a marketer, web designer, software or mobile app developer, tech start-up, filmmaker, academic, gamer, business leader, or a digital lover. With over 50 talks, workshops, social events, conferences and award events annually, The Lunaticks Society provides access to a network of like-minded peoples who are driving innovation in regional Australia.
