Katie Perry partners with Green Friday to encourage sustainable shopping habits

Announcement posted by KATIE PERRY 18 Oct 2022

Australia’s first online sustainable shopping event, Green Friday, has partnered with Katie Perry and a range of Australian brands across a breadth of categories to encourage consumers to shop mindfully this sale season.

The digital event – that first launched in 2021 – aims to tackle Australia’s mass-consumption habits through peak shopping periods such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, where Australians can sometimes make hasty online purchases many of which end in landfill.

Across four days, from 18-21 November, Katie Perry will offer ethical and sustainable promotions on selected products giving consumers the time to not only slow down but also to ‘Buy Better’.

Following its pilot launch last year with overwhelming response to its refreshing eco-considerate approach, Green Friday has grown its roster of brands and is now officially sponsored by Sendle, Hero Packaging & Val Morgan Digital’s The Latch.

Katie Perry is excited to join the growing list of participants who are committed to their sustainability journey.

Founder and designer  commented on the positive message the partnership will drive for Katie Perry consumers.

“ After 16 years in business it’s only in recent years I have seen a huge push around Black Friday. We have tried ant- Black Friday deals in the past to little success. Consumers are looking for a deal so this year I am excited to offer a sustainable and made in Australia choice.  Currently every item we sell plants trees or saves plastic bottles from the ocean. Over Green Friday we will be doubling our impact.  We will also be highlighting our  merino wool as a sustainable and unique gift choice. Green Friday allows consumers to buy better and also recognise sustainable labels like Katie Perry”
