Turning chocolate cravings into clean protein: The rise of Protein2Go

Announcement posted by Invigorate PR 07 Aug 2025

Sydney-based family Naomi and her two daughters, Salwa and Khadije are flipping the script when it comes to snacking, one protein ball at a time.

Forget everything you thought you knew when it comes to protein. The powerhouse trio behind Protein2Go are taking the nation's sweet tooth by storm with a range of high-protein, all-natural products that make healthy eating worth the calories.

From their best seller, the Hazelnut Truffles to their personal favourites the Almond Butter Cups, every snack is designed to deliver the nostalgia of your childhood chocolates but without the sugar crash, guilt or processed ingredients.

"We're here to prove that being healthy doesn't have to mean boring," Protein2Go, cofounder and CEO, Salwa Sabbagh said.

"Our goal was simple, to introduce a business that provides customers with products that deliver the genuine 'wow' moment. That feeling when you take that first bite and can't believe the calories, can't believe the protein and can't believe it is actually good for you.

"Our community has been forced to adapt to processed and packaged foods especially in the health and fitness industry to achieve their goals but seem to forget that making snacking fun starts with the ingredients you have at home."

From the family kitchen to kitchens all over the country

What started in their family kitchen as a solution for their gym fanatic mum has grown into a full-blown product innovation movement. With a mothers complaint of dry, chalky protein bars that taste like cardboard, Khadije the family chef began recreating iconic treats but with a functional twist.

The result? A popular product line of snackable bars and balls that don't just fuel your body, they hit the craving spot with flavour and texture that rivals the real thing.

Crafted with ingredients like roasted nuts, whey protein, natural sweeteners and zero nasties, each Protein2Go product is hand-developed, taste-tested and full of nourishment.

"We're obsessed with flavour. If it doesn't have the flavour or the protein, it does not make the cut", Salwa Sabbagh said.

Incredible creations that deliver taste explosions

"From a peanut butter cup you can eat post-gym, a hazelnut truffle you can snack on at your desk and a salted caramel bar you actually look forward to, we have created a range of delectable treats to can eat anywhere and they are good for you," Sabbagh said.

With fans across Australia and a fast-growing community on TikTok and Instagram, the trio are staying true to their roots: family-first, flavour-forward and female-powered.

"We're not a faceless company, we're a mother with a problem and her two daughters with a solution, doing this ourselves. We know what real people want because we are our own customers," Sabbagh added.

Extraordinary growth and a growing fan army

As the business grows, the mission remains the same: make healthy snacking easy, simple and worth the calories.

"Our vision is simple: we want you to feel proud of what you're eating, excited about how it tastes and confident in what's inside," Sabbagh said.

"Food should be both functional and joyful. That's the new standard and we're here to lead it."

The business is already expanding with orders rolling in from all over Australia and a growing list of health and fitness locations eager to stock their products. Many Australians became aware of the brand through social media and now they are helping to share awareness across their friends, family and networks.   Word of mouth, thanks to joy in the mouth, is spreading.
