inthemix.com.au gears for growth with new appointments

Sydney 5 May 2009 – Sound Alliance, the publisher of dance website inthemix.com.au, has announced the appointment of Tim Hardaker to the newly created position of General Manager of inthemix.

As General Manager Tim will oversee all aspects of inthemix’s operations, including content, brand direction and marketing strategies.  Previously Tim was the Managing Editor of inthemix and the driving force of its editorial team for more than six years.

Angus Paterson, who has worked alongside Tim as Deputy Editor of inthemix for the past three years, will now assume the role of Editor.

Commenting on his appointment as General Manager, Tim Hardaker said: “I couldn’t be happier with this new challenge and I’m very much looking forward to taking inthemix even further as we enter our tenth year.

“As interest in music festivals and dance culture continues to sky-rocket the inthemix audience, in turn, also grows. We’ve just come out of our biggest summer on record, attracting more than 400,000 unique browsers for the first time ever in March 2009.  I’m proud to have played a part in getting inthemix to where it is today and I can’t wait to see what our team will achieve in the future,” Tim commented.

In addition to the revamped team structure, an updated version of the inthemix homepage went live this week and was met with enthusiasm by both industry players and the site’s passionate community.  The site has also launched new set of advertising options for party promoters, record labels and nightclubs, with a fixed space able to be purchased in weekly blocks on inthemix’s vibrant forums.  Next on the horizon will be the rollout of the 2009 Sony inthemix50, the site’s annual poll of Australia’s most popular DJs.

Applications for those wishing to apply to the now vacant position of Deputy Editor of inthemix close on Friday May 15th.
