Board directors can now access best practices for promoting the psychological health of their staff, management and leadership in conversation with leading psychiatrist Patrick McGorry – an invaluable opportunity for organisations striving to flourish in today’s stressful and transitioning environment.
Join the 2010 Australian of the Year on the 4th November for an informal yet highly practical virtual discussion: “Psychological wellbeing in the workplace – What directors need to know and need to do” hosted by Board Leaders Network.
How do we improve the mental health of staff in a COVID-affected world? What are the indicators of mental ill health in the workforce? How does this affect workplace productivity? What support strategies can we put in place?
A Professor of Youth Mental Health at the University of Melbourne and executive director of health and medical research institute Orygen, Patrick McGorry is well known for his innovative work on early intervention in youth psychosis plus his reforms in the mental health and social policy fields.
In this dialogue with directors he will share his expertise on how to preserve and nurture the psychological health of all of an organisation’s members.
“If we are to optimise the recovery phase from COVID in a climate of major workforce and talent shortages … we will need to create health-promoting workplace cultures and also detect and respond much better to the needs of our most precious resource – our people.”
– Patrick McGorry
