4KQ’s Laurel, Gary and Mark sign off
By Staff Writers in Media News on Friday, 24th June 2022 at 5:50pmBrisbane’s 4KQ breakfast hosts Laurel Edwards, Gary Clare and Mark Hine have signed off the show for the last time after 16 years on-air following SEN’s acquisition of the classic hits station.
4KQ will remain on-air for a week and officially turn off the mics on Thursday, June 30.
ARN’s chief content officer Duncan Campbell thanked Laurel, Gary and Mark and the entire team at the station for the success.
“This truly is the end of an incredible era in radio history and, like 4KQ’s legion of loyal listeners, we are sad to be farewelling this iconic Brisbane station,” Campbell said.
Edwards, who recently celebrated her 30th anniversary at the station said that the final day is a celebration of the success and people that helped to achieve it.
