ZDNet closes, staff on “gardening leave”

Stilgherrian tweeted today that ZDNet Australia “is no more”.
“All Australian staff, those that were left, are currently on gardening leave pending the US parent company coming to terms with long service leave and other confusions”.
Stilgherrian lamented the closure, saying “one of the tiny handful of tech news mastheads that isn't just a cheerleader for venture capital is now gone from Australia”.
