Free Online Social Procurement Tools to Simplify Doing Business with Purpose

Announcement posted by Beyond Value 04 May 2023

LAUNCH OF FREE BUSINESS ASSESSMENT TOOLS SET TO MAKE A BIG IMPACT

NEW social procurement agency, Beyond Value to revolutionise and simplify doing business with purpose.

Melbourne-based Beyond Value founded by social enterprise specialist Michael Lim has today launched two online assessment tools to help organisations better understand their social procurement capabilities and opportunities. The FREE Supplier Capability Scorecard and Industry Needs Analysis Scorecard only take a few minutes to complete and provide a personalised 12-page report with an overall score, detailed breakdown of the results and lots of practical tips and insights.

“For almost a decade. I have poured my heart and soul into making a difference in the lives of those around me and my community in Melbourne’s west. Starting Beyond Value and making these tools and resources easily accessible are my way of sharing everything I’ve learned, and enabling even more businesses to maximise their social impact,” explained Lim, who has been recognised as a finalist in the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards for his innovative social impact work (winner announced - 28 April).

Demand for social procurement has almost doubled every year since 2018 according to the Social Traders Impact Report 2021 with customers, businesses and governments increasingly seeking and investing in companies and causes that make a positive impact in the world.

Each Beyond Value survey consists of 30 quick-fire questions, which have been designed in collaboration with some of Australia’s top social enterprise leaders, to identify areas for improvement and provide tangible next steps enabling organisations to immediately begin, enhance or improve their social procurement practices.

“We’ve developed the Beyond Value SOL Framework which stands for: Systems and Policies, Organisational Readiness and Leadership and Governance (SOL), which allows us to quickly assess each organisations social procurement status and requirements and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.”

“Businesses can take the survey at any time and come back regularly to check on their progress. We also offer a wide range of free and paid online resources and courses and offer consultation sessions for anyone who is looking for more in-depth or hands-on guidance,” Lim added.
