ADT Security achieves national SCEC Type 1 certification for intruder alarm installation and off-site monitoring

Announcement posted by Write Away Communication 04 Jun 2010

Government departments, government agencies and security advisers to the high security sector can now choose ADT Security for Type 1 intruder alarm solutions.

Providing more choice for government departments, government agencies and security advisers to the high security sector, ADT Security Australia has now achieved national Type 1 certification for alarm installation and a multi service remote monitoring solution. This certification applies to all current Type 1 intruder alarm solutions available in the Australian high security marketplace.

The Type 1 approved Secure Room to Grade A1 Monitoring Centre solution offered by ADT Security utilises its ADT IP Connect Gateway which has high level integration with the Cardax Ultrasec Type 1 endorsed intruder alarm system. This delivers transparent, high level alarm monitoring for all system and zone alarms, events and user transactions. The Cardax Ultrasec solution provides end-to-end system security through unsurpassed levels of data encryption and monitored communications.

The ADT IP Connect Gateway also offers low level integration monitoring capabilities with all other Type 1 intruder alarm solutions currently available in the Australian high security marketplace, therefore offering alternative remote monitoring solutions to this unique market.

The certification follows ADT Security’s significant investment in the IP Connect remote monitoring solution and its Grade A1 monitoring centre in Sydney. This investment enables ADT Security to offer current and future technologies in partnership with principal service providers and end users throughout Australia to both the private and Commonwealth security sectors.

“ADT Security can now offer a complete turn-key high security solution tailored to each individual client and government department’s needs and security classification,” said Mark Norton, Managing Director, ADT Security Australia.

“We have worked hard to achieve Type 1 certification and believe the market will respond well to having a trusted service provider in the marketplace.”
