Melbourne IT partners with Akamai to help Australian companies remove the complexity of doing business online

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, today announced a new partnership with Melbourne IT in Australia.

Melbourne IT helps organisations of all sizes to successfully conduct business online. The breadth of Melbourne IT’s offerings extends from helping small businesses build their presence online to designing and managing the complex Web environments of large enterprises and governments.

The new partnership will see Akamai’s solutions become part of Melbourne IT’s integrated portfolio, enabling custom built, end-to-end solutions for organisations wanting to improve the way they do business online. The partnership comes as Akamai focuses on expanding its channel presence in Australia and seeks to drive its enterprise business to further support the company’s aggressive growth in the Asia Pacific region.

Ian Teague, Senior Manager Australasia at Akamai Technologies commented: “The complexity of conducting business online in our increasingly hyperconnected world continues to escalate, particularly as the way we access the Internet now extends across multiple platforms and devices.
