Ready for summer: give your 4WD the big rig treatment

I am contacting you about an event and a 4WD vehicle maintenance piece that may interest your readers. Many enthusiasts may not think to look at aftermarket truck parts for their vehicle, however they provide increased levels of reliability and durability.

Aftermarket truck and trailer retailer Truckline is holding a 4WD open day on Saturday 30th November at their Gosford branch for drivers to come along and find out more. Attached you'll find:
- A media alert detailing the event.
- A media release providing drivers with tips from Truckline staff for getting the most out of their vehicle, including advice about service intervals (hint: do it more often than manufacturer warranties suggest).
- A selection of stock images

Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance or if you would like to conduct an interview with Truckline Gosford Manager, Michael Nocera.

Kind regards,
Alison Treloar

Ready for summer: give your 4WD the big rig treatment

Before heading out for a summer of 4WD adventure, you may want to consider your vehicle’s service history. That’s the message from Michael Nocera, the manager of Truckline Gosford. Better known for its truck and trailer parts, the aftermarket parts retailer has an extensive range of products suitable for 4WD vehicles. The Gosford branch is holding an open day on Saturday 30th November for the general public to review this range and understand how trusted big rig brands can deliver better performance and durability for 4WD vehicles.

With 22 stores Australia-wide, Truckline is known for its knowledgeable staff, and there’s plenty of expert advice for trucks and 4WDs, alike. Michael’s favourite 4WD tip is to service your vehicle more often, despite extended manufacturer schedules.

“Regular servicing is the one thing that keeps your engine clean and running well, particularly if you’re putting it through its paces every weekend. The only way to get rid of carbon deposits, dirt and grime in your motor is to change the oil. If you leave it too long between changes you’re going to get more build-up in your engine which increases wear and ultimately shortens engine life,” explained Michael.

“Before you head out complete a basic service and oil change, top up your fluids and make sure everything is fresh within the vehicles,” he added. When it comes to what supplies you should take with you, Michael says it really depends on how adventurous you’ll be, and how technical the driving is.

“I would recommend things like a spare CV joint, fuel filters, grease and oil. And many people will take a couple of extra air filters because you don’t know how dusty it’s going to be.”

In contrast to standard consumables available at auto shops, Truckline’s brands come from the same manufacturers as their truck parts, produced to the same level of quality that keeps hardworking rigs on the road. The greater reliability provides 4WD drivers with extra confidence, especially in remote areas.

Truckline also carries lighting accessories, brake pads, tools and UHF radios, and can order in a range of engine components, as required.

“We support all our products with knowledge and advice, and we carry basic workshop equipment, such as wirings, fittings and terminals – if you bought a set of driving lights we won’t just sell them to you and say good luck. We will actually provide you with everything you need to install them and a bit of know-how,” said Michael.

Local 4WDers can check out Truckline’s full range products and chat to knowledgeable staff at the Truckline Gosford open day, Saturday 30th November from 8am – 2pm. Experts will be on hand to discuss the latest technology, plus visitors can enjoy a free barbecue, special promotions, show bags and the chance to win one of two GME UHF Handheld Radio Twin Packs.
